A new twist on the case specific website

Some time ago, we blogged about the case specific websites that a number of law firms create to disseminate information on active cases to class members. Typically, these websites were created by lead counsel and were often limited to larger cases (e.g. WorldCom or Enron).

At least one law firm has decided to take a creative approach to information dissemination with respect to newly filed cases - those cases that are still within the lead plaintiff deadline.

According to this press release, Shalov Stone Bonner & Rocco LLP has created a case specific website for the American Home Mortgage Investment Corp. (NYSE:AHM) litigation.

The same law firm has also created a website for the GPC Biotech AG (Nasdaq:GPCB) litigation.

It may not be such a bad idea. A search on Google for GPC class action shows that the firm's case specific website is the top hit.
